Instead we did a short, close to home spring camping trip to a new RV resort about an hour away from home and met the kid campers. It's going to be the bomb for summer stays. There's the kiddie pool area, adult pool area, kiddie play ground, pool side grill restaurant, kayaking, paddle boarding, a lazy floating river pool, and who knows what else. It's a big place.
Bad news - all week the weather reports were calling for severe thunder storms for our schedule. We didn't give in. We went hoping for the best. Tho, the weather was on and off, we managed to get some fun in between the two rain storms with tiny hail once.
Bike riding filled our time mostly since the pools weren't weather friendly yet.
I clicked right at 7,000 steps on the first day as bike ride monitor.
