Is that a word? It's similar to bicycling. See, elipticaling / bicycling.
.
I started a few days ago. It's an older model elipical. But it works, and a new one wouldn't get used any better or any more than this one. So I am happy with it.
This is me starting out this week.
I made .50 miles in 10.48 minutes.
That is a half mile in almost 11 minutes. That's good for my first day this year. Last summer I was walking the street at a fast pace and did 1 mile in 20 minutes. So my goal for this summer is a 3K somewhere. I know there is some smiling family members out there who wants to participate with me.
I will be up to 1 mile in 20 minutes in 1 week. Stay tuned.

Wow, one mile in 20 minutes...you are really going! Now I feel challenged to click up my speed a bit. It's rainy here tonight so no outside walk...I'm going to see if I can increase my speed a bit on the eliptical! Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteI have one of those! I think? I'll have to take that layer of dust off of it to make sure! You've inspired me to start up again. I love walking but my knees have been bugging me and the eliptical is better. Good luck and keep up the good work! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteGin - You are on a roll ! What a challenge ! I do see a few neighbors in my neighborhood 'elipticaling' in the evenings as well. I just may have to join ya'll! Keep us posted on your 'mile in 20 minutes'!
ReplyDeleteYou go girl! Before long you'll be doing 11 and 12 minute miles. Keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteso you go girl! I just started back to water aerobics a week ago and felt really good about it. I have neglected myself for far too long. We used to do road races all the time and I miss that. Keep up the good work!
