Tis the Season ...

. . . for King Cake, that is. If you are at my house at any given day during the Mardi Gras season you will be eating King Cake morning, noon, and night every single day.

With the baby and all things purple, green, and gold. Everything from fleur de lis', beads, masks, and parades and balls.

It's a good thing the season doesn't last long.

  1. I'm not familiar with the tradition, but I do see a baby. Is it baked in the cake?

    1. Hi Laurie. No, it's not baked in it. It comes separate and you place it in the cake, the person who gets the slice with the baby is to bring the next King Cake.
